What Does Terra Firma Smell Like?

Terra Firma opens with the vibrant energy of pink pepper and elemi, lifted by subtle notes of pineapple and pear.

At its heart, marine notes evoke the freshness of open water, balanced by aromatic lavandin, black pepper and clary sage. As the fragrance settles, tonka bean, moss, woody amber and musk create a warm, comforting base with lasting depth.

The result is a fresh marine and green fragrance that feels clean and uplifting, yet grounded and reassuring - like reaching dry land after a long voyage.

Uncompromising Materials

A sophisticated fragrance deserves exceptional burn performance. Sustainability is also central to everything we create at Thomas Clipper.

That is why the Terra Firma candle is made using paraffin-free, soy-based wax and an eco wick.

Natural wax burns at a lower temperature, allowing the fragrance to diffuse gradually and accurately. This creates a generous pool of melted wax, an excellent scent throw and a burn time of more than 40 hours.

Every candle is made by hand in small batches, allowing us to give each one the care and attention needed to deliver exceptional quality and performance.

Sustainable by Design

As with every Thomas Clipper product, the Terra Firma candle has been created with its environmental impact in mind.

Our soy-based wax is renewable, biodegradable and completely free from paraffin. The eco wick is made from pure cotton interlaced with fine paper filaments, creating a clean and consistent burn.

Once the candle has finished, the remaining soy wax can be removed easily, allowing the glass vessel to be cleaned and reused. Give it a second life as a toothbrush holder, desk tidy or container for the everyday objects you value.

Quality, Not Speed

Every Terra Firma candle is made entirely by hand.

We begin by gradually warming the soy wax to 70°C. It is then allowed to cool to precisely 60°C before the Grasse-developed Terra Firma fragrance is added and gently blended through the wax.

The candle is hand poured into a pre-warmed glass vessel before its eco wick is carefully positioned using a wooden centring device. Each candle is left to set for 24 hours, then inspected, trimmed and packaged by hand.

Nothing about the process is rushed. The result is a candle that gives the Terra Firma fragrance the performance, care and craftsmanship it deserves.
