Savile Row, the famous London tailoring street has been clothing London’s establishment since the early 19th Century.
It started off with more of a focus on evening wear and military dress uniforms, then moved into made-to-measure lounge suits. In the last fifty years it has modernised with newcomers like Richard James and Ozwald Boateng.
There’s an obvious link between clothes and men’s fragrance, with scent often being seen as the finishing touch to an outfit.

Richard James - Savile Row

Sunspel - Oak Wood
Suits you: Sunspel are a British clothing brand that started in 1860, making underwear, t-shirts and polo shirts. They are credited with introducing boxer shorts to the UK from the U.S. in 1947 and famously Daniel Craig wore a Sunspel polo shirt in ‘Casino Royale’, which gave the brand a whole new lease of life.
They have worked with renowned British perfumer Lyn Harris on two fragrances - and Oak Wood is a stunner. Cedar wood is the hero, supported by angelica seed, camomile and bergamot. Crisp and a perfect staple - just like a Sunspel classic white t-shirt.

Penhaligon’s - Sartorial
Suits you: Inspired by the workroom at Norton & Sons (tailors at No. 16 Savile Row) this is a fougère given a modern twist. There’s lavender and neroli but then a smokier, steamier base with patchouli and tobacco.
